While preparing for our current
Thursday blog series, I’ve been looking for online resources that churches can use
to improve their hospitality ministry.
Here are three really good ones
offering numerous resources from training to sustaining a hospitable church
culture:
- Church consultant Chris Walker, the Evangelism Coach, offers 10 free training videos plus many more resources that highlight the good, the bad, and the ugly sides of developing a culture of hospitality. http://www.evangelismcoach.org
- Church Greeter Training is another site from Chris Walker that focuses on – you guessed it – training greeters. Here, Chris offers practical training and equipping tools, tips, and blogs. http://www.churchgreetertraining.com/
- North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia, and their strategic partners across the United States have set the bar for creating welcoming environments for visitors. They also share generously what they’ve learned and how they equip their members for ministry on Sunday mornings. You can access their training materials along with a whole host of other tools and tips. http://insidenorthpoint.org/serviceprogramming/guest-services/
Check these out to jump start your
improvement initiatives, to aid in your training efforts, or to drive
hospitality into your cultural fabric.
